50 HR Yin Yoga Immersion
With homework and online study you will qualify for 100 YACEP continuing education hours, and without homework 50 YACEP hours.
Taught by Dr. Scott Lyons & Adele Kinghan
Embodied Flow Yin Yoga is a gentle, integrative practice that creates a sacred space where time expands and slows down, allowing you to find your deepest sense of self. This approach combines a unique blend of yin poses, guided imagery, experiential anatomy, movement meditation, five elements of Chinese medicine, breath work, mantra and mind-body medicine practices.
Embodied Flow Yin Yoga recognizes that the way we care for ourselves, others, and the environment is interrelated. Through developing awareness and loving kindness on and off the mat, we gain a felt sense of this “interrelatedness” (yoga) and can become a more fully inhabited embodied being. In this tradition, becoming embodied is a process of returning to our innate sense of well-being where the richness and subtleties of life are deeply experienced. In this way, a life fully felt is a live fully lived.
This 50 hour immersion delves into the landscape of yoga energetically, physically and philosophically. Participants study the foundations of Embodied Flow practices and methodology to support them as they expand and develop on their journey of the living art of yoga. We cultivate the skills of teaching. We learn to communicate and transmit the depth of information and experience acquired. Participants will hone their grace, intuition and power as they develop skill and comfort in their role as a teacher.

Foundational to Scott’s teaching is the principle that we can, through intention, expand our capacity to meet and be met. In this way, we can offer the profound gift to our self, others and the environment of being heard, seen, and feeling felt at a cellular level.
Adele Kinghan is the the founder and lead facilitator of RISE Yoga, and and ERYT500hr yoga teacher with advanced trainings in Embodied Flow™, Yoga Medicine and Prana Flow. As a Desire Map Facilitator and dance teacher, her dream is to live in a world where yoga is medicine, desire is celebrated, everyone exudes aliveness, and dancing in the streets is highly encouraged – if not mandatory.
Adele's passion for movement comes from her very first love – dance. She studied everything from ballet to hip hop, and was a dance teacher for many years. And then, at the sweet age of 25, the universe threw her a sudden spiritual grenade in the form of advanced stage bowel cancer. Literally overnight the world as she knew it was no more. Faced with a 1 in 5 chance of survival, Adele embraced all the support she could, especially yoga – mostly simple breathing techniques and meditation – first as a way to manage the pain and the chemotherapy, then to heal and regain strength, and ultimately to help with all the doubt and worry she'd been carrying around.
That was 12 years ago and through the wins and the losses, yoga has been her anchor. She found the same challenge and fun she had in dance, and so much more. She supported and healed her body, overcame fears around her illness and found a way to live fully, with grace, gratitude and an open heart.
Adele has learned so much along the way, and her passion for feeling alive, strong and expressive is why her classes and programs are like no other. She is sought after for her breadth of knowledge, her non-dogmatic empowering approach, and her attention to awakening – be it physical, mental and emotional. Adele won't let you ignore or abuse your body, and she most definitely won’t let you go through the motions and sleepwalk through your life.
